About the School

Since September 2019 we have been in a Management Partnership with the Learning Academy Partnership Trust which enables us to work in partnership with 8 academies in the South Devon area.

We are a church school and our Christian vision ‘Together We Grow, Together We Flourish’ is underpinned by our values of: compassion, trust, peace, wisdom, creation and creativity.

A strength of our community is the children’s ability to collaborate, learning with and from each other. Our children are happy, and they are able to learn in a safe, friendly and caring environment. We are proud of the close partnership we enjoy with our parents, church and community members.

We are currently developing a curriculum offer for our children which not only prepares them for the next step of their journey but also reflects the distinctive community of Dartington and the South Devon area. We have high aspirations for our children and the highest expectations of what they can achieve.

We offer a Nursery for 3 and 4 year olds, where children can play and learn alongside our Reception pupils within a specifically created Foundation Stage Unit  Planned connections and shared opportunities ensure transitions are smooth so that children continue to make strides in their learning year on year as they progress through the school.

We are able to offer parents wrap around care between 7:45am and 6pm through our Breakfast Club and After School Club.

As well as an ambitious and enriching curriculum our children benefit from the beautiful grounds in which the school is set. We offer Forest School for our pupils which takes place in our orchard and woodland areas. We have outdoor story areas, outdoor classrooms, a games court, large play areas and a field. This enables us to thread the outdoors into our curriculum and enhance what we are able to offer the children.

If you are considering applying for a place at our happy, friendly school, please contact the office and make an appointment to meet our headteacher, her team and see our school in action.
