The Nursery

Our Nursery (F1) and Reception (F2) children learn together in a Foundation Stage Unit within a beautiful purpose built environment. We value the ‘family’ feel of children learning from and with each other. Our Foundation Stage staff continually review and develop their excellent practice, with children learning through well planned play, confidently developing knowledge and understanding through a balance of child initiated activities and adult-supported activities and access to a stimulating environment.

Our Early Years Foundation Stage Unit is open between 8.45am and 3.00pm. During this time parents and carers may access up to 30 hours of free entitlement for Nursery aged (F1) children, if they meet the entitlement criteria.

Time slots are of no less than two hours in any one day, starting from 9am.

Children may order a school lunch at a charge of £2.40 per day or bring a packed lunch if their time falls during a lunch period.

In addition to the free entitlement parents and carers may book Nursery Childcare within our Foundation Stage at a charge of £4.50 per hour, booked in slots of one hour. Bookings for Entitlement Nursery hours, additional Childcare and school lunches can be made in the main office every day between 9.00 and 3.00 or by phone on 01803 862357. In line with our Collection of Fees Policy, all bookings must be prepaid.

PIPPINS  - Parent and Pre-school children sharing sessions

Parents and carers are welcome with their pre-school children within our Foundation Stage every Monday between 9.00 am – 11.00 am. For just £2 per child, parents with their babies and preschool children are able to join in our activities, learn and explore as part of our Foundation Stage community and spend time together. All are very welcome and this is an ideal opportunity to get to know our school in an informal and sharing way.
