Dartington is proud to have a PTFA (Parent Teacher & Friends Association). Any parent, carer, teacher or friend of the school is welcome to be part of our team. Please contact if you would like to find out more about being part of the team who organise the events.

Our main aims are:

– FUN – To create fun events for the children
– FUNDRAISING – Raise money to enable the school to buy additional resources that would otherwise be unaffordable
– COMMUNITY – Enhance our school community by working together and building strong relationships amongst parents and teachers

Our current elected Committee Members are Stella Misa (Chair), Andrea Prew (Secretary), Eleanor Johnson (Treasurer) and Sian Rive our Foundation Teacher (School Liaison). We also have a small team who help behind the scenes to organise the events, and we rely on input from all families to help run stalls at fairs, attend events and help provide raffle prizes etc.

We typically run one large event per term, such as our Easter Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Halloween Disco (very popular!), Christmas Fair and Summer Fair. The photos on this page give you a flavour of what it is all about!

The PTFA is going to be buying play equipment for each age group in the summer term, including bikes, trikes, sandpit toys and so on. We are also saving up for our longer term goal of being able to provide a substantial item such as climbing or play equipment for our new school site.
